Jyotish Guru Prof. Dr. Rudra Prasanna Mohapatra, M.A., Ph.D., D.Litt., is a Graduate in Indian Philosophy, Post Graduate in Indian Anthropology and Doctorate in Indian Astrology. He is an Honorary Professor and Doctor of Literature in Astrology from Prixton University, Florida, USA.  He is an alumni of Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS), Chennai founded by Dr. B. V. Raman. He was a Long-Term Volunteer at Isha Yoga Center (IYC), founded by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu before practicing astrology. He pays deep attention to use of Rudraksha in astrology and thus work under the title of “Rudraksha Jyotisha”. Prof. Mohapatra dedicate ample effort to astrological research and has published more than 50 research papers on various facets of Vedic Astrology in leading  journals of Astrology like The Modern Astrology, The Planets and Forecasts, The Astrological eMagazine, The Express Star Teller and The Research Journal of Astrology. He has authored two books related to Hindu Astrology viz. “Rudraksha Jyotisha: A Treatise on the Applications of Rudraksha” & “Golden Rules of Medical Astrology”. His books are available at leading national and international e-platforms like Amazon, Flipkart and Ebay. Few of his research papers are open to public and can be viewed at Academia.edu. His You Tube Channel “Prof. Rudra Mohapatra’s Astro-Research and Review” has got immense popularity for its rare, innovative and thought-provoking content. He has attended many national and international astro-conferences and made it a culture to make Power Point presentation on various tropics of Hindu Astrology and conferred with numerous titles. Recently, he has got Life Time Achievement Award in Astrology from Vishwa Veda Vidyapeedam, Kochi, Kerala.  Prof. Mohapatra worked as an Anthropologist to many Government and Non-Government Bodies for more than one decade before planning to move full time into astrology.
